[REMEMBERING] Jalynn M. Butzin
Prudential
California Realty is saddened to announce that Vacaville REALTOR
Jalynn Butzin passed away Monday, March 8, 2010. As she prepared

attack and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, she
was unable to pull through.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the Butzin family,” said
Craig C. Lewis, President/CEO of Prudential California Realty.
Jalynn was born Jalynn Mae Carter on July 7, 1940 in Louisville,
Kentucky. She married Rodney Auwae in 1960 and had three
children: Kimberly Auwae of Vacaville, Kevin Auwae of Colorado
Springs, and Kelly McAllister of Vacaville. Butzin later married
Brian Butzin in 1981 and moved from Hawaii to Dixon, Calif. to
be near family.
She is survived by her husband Brian Butzin; sister Dana
Garrison; brother, James Carter; seven grandchildren: Kehaulani,
Melemaikalani, and Lei’opualani McAllister; Daniel, Noelani
and Nathanial Auwae; Brandon Avila, Mardi and Christian Butzin
and a host of relatives in Kentucky. She is also survived by
David B. Butzin of Claremont, Marlene D. Butzin of Stanton, CA.
Jalynn was a successful real estate agent who served Northern
California for over 18 years. She won many awards during her
career and a several prestigious designations: Certified
Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate of Realtor Institute (GRI)
and the Accredited Buyers Representative.
She was a giving wife, mother and Tutu Nene to her adoring
grandchildren. She loved reading, making jewelry, traveling the
world, spending time with her family and antique-hunting trips
in Kentucky.

[REMEMBERING] Thurman Washington, husband to Cheryl Washington,
Client Services Director.
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Thurman Washington, the husband of Cheryl Washington, our delightful Director of Internet Services. This was an unexpected passing that took place on Saturday morning,
April 24, 2010, as Thurman was walking the dog within the neighborhood.
Our heartfelt love and concern goes out to Cheryl and her family. Thurman was a tremendous individual and was very supportive of Cheryl within her career and her role here at Prudential California Realty. Whenever he could he would attend functions here in the organization and spread his upbeat attitude and enthusiasm for life! He has a spirit about him that just lights up a room and your heart. We will all miss him greatly even though most of us only got to see him periodically.
We truly are grateful for the relationship we have had with Cheryl and Thurman over the many years Cheryl has worked with us. She is a great asset to all of us.
With much sympathy in our hearts,
Craig C. Lewis
